Short Spot on the Opening Ceremony of "Computerspielmuseum" in Berlin on January th 20th 2011

A big Congratulation to ANdreas Lange who finally managed to open his Computerspielemuseum" in Berlin! 13 years of struggeling has now found an end!

We added some pictures of the opening ceremony and further images abroad the museum (please click on thumbs for high resoltution pics).

Visiting the Computerspielemuseum in Berlin on January the 20th 2011

With the help of modern technical stuff we found our way to the museum!

Further hints...

A former east Berlin Café (Café Warschau) now hosts the museum.

These two gents welcomed us inside...

...until landlord Andreas Lange welcomed us.

Inside some highlights could not be overlooked:
A Nutting Associates N.A. Computer Space! The first Videogame Arcade System.
This is definately the only one in Germany.
Therefore we engrossed it with delight.

Another Highlight: An Atari Pong Arcade from 1972. This gave Pong it's name!

An orange TV Challenger Pong, which is not in my collection! - deep respect!
The missing knob is therefore excusable ;-)

Very fancy and stylishe presentation of the exponats.

Also a Highlight: a former GDR Poly Play Arcade System!

The big size joystick not only pleased the women ;-)

Two brutal extrem-gamers deepened in their condemnable activity!

This hand belongs to a guy who played at the Pain-Station, a Pong systems that tortures the Players with electro shocks, hot metal plats and rubber whips if they miss a ball.

Jens Brinkmann & Jens Klöpfel deepened in a chat with mit Cristina Lamyon (ex Giga TV maker).

Oliver, our friend and maker of pong-museum.com meeting Karla Höß,
who is working at her thesis about the RFT BSS 01 Pong system the only Pong manufactured in former GDR.

Oliver, Karla Höß & Jens Brinkmann chatting with Klaus Schumann, who once made the BSS-01 and other goods for East German economy.

pong-museum & pong-picture-page with Klaus Schumann.

Klaus Schumann was a great source for interesting stories far from Pong and Video gaming.

Stephan Freundorfer, journalist & expert for videogame history after his documantation work for the day was done.

The day after Karla Höß and her Team setting up their interview for us,
while a famous videogame character was already there!

Jens Brinkmann could not hide his joy once been interviewed about his pet subject...

...while Jens Klöpfel was sovereign as usual...

...and Oliver made big points not only with his looks.

After I did my formidable monologues my listerners soon began to tire.

After the interview Karla Höß was interviewed by us... maybe 3 or more hours !

The slipped video game character was soon identified as Q-bert.
Who therefore had to pose for group pictures.

Also discovered in Berlin's streets: two Videogame addicts on search for new drugs!
What a disgusting experience!

Even the smallest shop was turned over for new brutal video games!

At Est-Trainstation the guys found what they were looking for: this violence glorifying videogame system made by Williams was quickly unassembled and taken home by the guys.

the further pray they gathered. Another shameful bunch of videogame cartridges packed in two banana boxes were sent to their place by a dealers.

This one was added to our catalog on Thursday 27 January, 2011.
