Grandstand (Adam Imports ltd.) Video Entertainment Computer (Channel F II)

Andrew Jenkins provided us with this useful info about this system:

I got two fairchild channel f series 2 of these consoles on ebay and there are two models.

the 1st one has a speeker built in the console on the left hand side in side the console.
on the bottom of the console 4 corked pads on the four corners.

on the bottom.

Fairchile camera and instrument corp
model no FVE 300
fcc type approval no tv 262
valid only when opeated pursuant to fcc rules part 15

This model has a serial no (made in the u.s.a) 155571
This console is in a Adam grandstand white box as your web site

This second one has a black label over the fairchile camera and instrument corp.
model no FVE 300
fcc type approval no tv 262
valid only when opeated pursuant
to fcc rules part 15

and no serial number on it
no corked pads on the four corners.

Some useful info on Ac-Dc mains adaptors the new ones on the market have 300mA , 500mA and 1000mA on them, and I've had trouble with my Teleng telestars console made in the u.k. as it made the screen roll and cannot set the channel to work with the console.

The old ac-dc mains adaptors made in the 1980 's use 200mA or less of use the the U.k..
When I made a Ad-Dc adaptor out of an old phone mains adaptor or old elec item adaptor using a output of 9V 200 mA the console will now turning to the tv and the screen will not roll.
I hope that this might be of some info to some console owners out there and if some owners have any info on what console they own and what the Ac-Dc power input the console need to work mains electric supple and what 200 mA or less it use.
This might be of use to owners of old console without any instruction and want to use it on main electric and not on batterys.

regards
Andrew Jenkins
ps: more info on the box of the u.s.a. grandstand fairchild.
on the box it says manufactured by fairchild camera and instrument corp u.s.a on the white boxed model.
