Rare Kenner wax prototype for their "collectible miniature figures" series. This is supposably an early design for the "Q-bert and Coily Qollide" figure.

Ebay auction's text: "This auction is for a rare wax casting prototype of the vintage Q-Bert action figure. This was purchased directly from a former sculptor for the line. A wax casting is one of the very first 3D representations of the toy. First, an original wax sculpt is made, second, a mold is made from that sculpt, third, a wax cast is made in that mold. Essentially a wax casting is a xerox of the original sculpt. Very rare and difficult to find, wax examples for the vintage video game line have not surfaced before. This example was used in the production process of the vintage line and represents an excellent opportunity to add a genuine pre-production prototype to your collection. Never intended for the general public."
