Interton Video 2000 All Carts (Download All Manuals) $0.00
by David Winter Date Added: Sunday 23 July, 2006
This is a great example of early video game technology, made with discrete components. Cartridge #5 was included with the system, originally released in 1975, like the Philips Tele-Spiel ES-2201. The games are quite crude due to the technical limitations of the system, which had a similar design like the 1972 Magnavox Odyssey, where the cartridges specified what was to be displayed and in what size. One advantage of the cartridges is that they could include additional components to generate more graphics which the console could not display. If Odyssey had that feature, it would surely have had much better add-on games. Cartridges #4 and #5 took advantage of this feature: the central net of the Tennis games is generated by additional circuits. Same with the scores in Super Tennis.
